Ireland Competition Authority & Legal Profession
Comments on the Competition Authority of Ireland's preliminary report on the legal profession are due April 28 2005. The study found that "the legal profession is permeated with serious and disproportionate restrictions on competition." The report makes dozens of recommendations intended "to make it easier to become a lawyer, easier to hire a lawyer and easier for lawyers to organise themselves."
