Following a report in The Los Angeles Times that some convicted nurses were permitted to keep their professional licenses, the state nursing board will immediately begin asking all renewing licensees whether they have been convicted of any crimes during the last renewal period. The board will also develop emergency regulations to obtain fingerprints from all nurses licensed before 1990. Read more.
