The Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK has made changes to the exam process for nurse and midwife applicants from non-European Union/European Economic Area jurisdictions. The former process allowed for only two attempts of the objective structured clinical exam component and then a six-month wait period before re-applying. The new process aims to provide more flexibility for applicants with time-limited immigration visas. Applicants will now be allowed a third attempt after three months, with no need to open a new application at that time.
