Beginning January 2018, the Ministry of Education in Ghana will require all teachers to re-register and show proof of their achievements in the teaching profession. Implementation of the new Teachers Licensing Policy under the Education Act 2008 will require that teachers whose students continuously fail national examinations be denied renewal of their license. Passing of a professional examination will now be a requirement for licensure as well.
