A bill under consideration in Michigan would establish licensure and regulation for naturopathic physicians. Naturopathic medicine is defined in the bill as "a system of practice that is based on the natural healing capacity of individuals." The Board of Naturopathic Medicine would consist of six naturopathic physicians, one physician, one pharmacist, one chiropractor, and two public members. A naturopath license would be valid for four years.
