A state Representative in Pennsylvania has indicated his intention to introduce legislation to regulate board-certified behavior analysts. Currently, 30 states regulate the profession. The goals of the legislation are to address the shortage of qualified providers, keep trained professionals in the state, and reduce healthcare costs by improving access to timely interventions.
