The Arizona State University Center for the Study of Economic Liberty has released a study on occupational licensing reciprocity. In a recent interview, the study author stresses the impact universal licensing recognition will have on many types of workers, not just medical professionals during a pandemic response. Once the pandemic passes, he states, "Keeping occupational licensing barriers in place would be like instituting a different form of 'shelter in place' — this time, it would be one of an economic sort by restricting their job opportunities and their economic mobility."
