The newly approved Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Act grants Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Saskatchewan the authority to regulate registration for its members and certify individuals with the CPHR designation. HR professionals are not required to join CPHR Saskatchewan, and employers are not required to hire only CPHRs. CPHR Saskatchewan will take on the public protection mandate by implementing standards of practice, a code of ethics, and a discipline committee.
