Vermont's House Committee on General, Housing and Military Affairs has passed a bill that would establish a contractor registry. A prior sunrise review by the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation recommended registration. The bill under consideration would require biennial registration for contractors undertaking building projects over $2500 and maintenance of minimum liability insurance coverage.
